Companies, Careers, and Community
Computer Science Resources Consortium (CSRC)
The CSRC is a group of companies that support the department directly through information and recruiting activities and support for student activities.
Virginia Tech's Career Services is a great place to start for help with career decisions and preparing for the job market, both while you are still a student and after you graduate.
More information will be coming soon about the outreach activities of the department. Virginia Tech's motto, "Ut Prosim" ("That I May Serve") is an inspiration for outreach programs across the university.
Students in CS 3604, Professionalism in Computing, have the opportunity to earn part of the course credit through service learning, in which they commit their time, skills, and enthusiasm to community projects such as teaching computer skills to local K-12 teachers.
