About the Lab Virginia Tech’s E-Commerce &
E-Government Research Lab was established in January 2002. Its inauguration was the culmination of
many years of research during which past and current members of our group
have dedicated their work to different aspects in the area of databases. The Lab’s mission is to pursue our leading traditions towards new contributions through a long-term research in e-commerce and e-government. Our research focuses on techniques and technologies that will enable the effective deployment of E-business and E-government infrastructures. Our current research focus includes: Middleware for Web services, Web services composition, security and privacy in digital government applications and query optimization. The Lab maintains fruitful cooperation links
with a number of national and international partners from academia,
government and industry. |
